Newest Cupcake Creation

Okay. So I made cupcakes this afternoon. It was my first experience filling cupcakes with stuff, so it was fun.

First I bought devil's food cupcake mix, and followed the box's instructions, adding just a little bit of black icing dye, then baked them. Once they were done, I let them cool, then used a cupcake corer (you could also use a knife, I just happened to have a corer) to pull out the center of the cupcake. Then I used a piping bag to fill the center with marshmallow cream filling.

Since I only made 12 cupcakes, I halved the recipe below for the filling:

Cream Filling (Enough to fill and decorate 24 cupcakes)

1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow cream
1/2 cup shortening
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Basically you just combine all of the ingredients, and whip them together until it's a sort of fluffy mixture.

After the cupcakes are filled, I took the top off of the cut out pieces of cupcake and put them back on over the filling. Then I iced them with chocolate frosting that also had black icing dye added.

Yum!

Lady Gaga Inspired Bra

So I made this Lady Gaga inspired bra last week, figured I'd post it here.

Basically I bought a cheap bra from Walmart, as well as acrylic jewels and E-6000 industrial strength adhesive. Then I glued the gems on row by row until the cups were covered.

It's inspired by this disco bra that Lady Gaga made and wore. Hers was made with disco ball mirrors, but the only similar thing I could find at Walmart was entirely too expensive to buy enough to cover a bra.

How to make your own shirt design

So today I gave a demonstration speech in my public speaking class. Here's a tutorial based on my speech.

How to make your own custom t-shirt

1) Create a black and white image in either photoshop or paint. Print it off.
2) Trace your design onto freezer paper, then cut out the black sections to create your stencil.
3) Iron your stencil onto your t-shirt, with the wax side down.
4) Paint over your stencil with fabric paint.
5) Let dry, then peel off the freezer paper stencil.

Huzzah.

Random life update

Alright, time to get this blog going again.

Next week is my 21st birthday. Thank the fucking lord, it can't come quick enough. Then a few days later I'm flying out to Denver to live it up for a week and a half with my boyfriend. Fuck yeah.

On another note, I finally stretched my lobe piercings up to 1/2". I've got some super blingy plugs in right now, and can't wait until they heal so I can wear some of the other plugs I've collected.

Anyways, I've gotta head to class soon. A more exciting update will occur later.
